Living in Chiba

A self-contained city center where almost every errand within the prefecture can be done, with shopping malls, department stores and shopping streets. Being the origin station of the Sobu Line Rapid, a high chance of sitting while going to Tokyo is also a strength. It suits remote workers who do not commute to Tokyo every day and office workers within Chiba Prefecture, and you should keep in mind that, as with any lively district, perceived safety differs by area.

It is the seat of the Chiba Prefectural Office, where seven lines gather including the JR lines and the Chiba Urban Monorail. As the prefecture's largest lively district, department stores, commercial facilities and government agencies are concentrated here. It is far from central Tokyo, so commuting times tend to be long. As a nodal point with direct Sobu Rapid service to Tokyo Station and lines extending to places across the prefecture, stable living is possible at reasonable rents.
