Living in Saitama-Shintoshin

An administrative and commercial center planned and built by Saitama Prefecture. However, most of the area around the station is filled with government buildings, offices and large commercial facilities, so it is not easy to find rental listings within walking distance. Its character is closer to 'a place people come and go to enjoy shopping, work and performances' than a 'place to live', so to find a home you often need to widen your search to residential areas away from the station.

It is a redeveloped new city center served by four JR lines. It is a neat planned city where government offices, large offices, Saitama Super Arena and the Cocoon shopping mall gather. It is office-centered on weekdays, so the housing stock is not large, and nights and weekends are relatively quiet. Right next to Omiya, its daily-life infrastructure is solid, and a tidy, modern environment is its strength.
