Living in Fushimi

A downtown office district in a rare location that places all three commercial areas, Sakae, Nagoya Station and Osu, within walking distance or one subway stop. Because offices dominate, tower condominiums are increasing too, but nights and weekends are noticeably quieter than in Sakae or Osu. Rents are also somewhat higher than the Naka Ward average.

This is an office district in downtown Nagoya, where the subway Higashiyama Line and Tsurumai Line meet. Located between Sakae and Nagoya Station, it keeps both entertainment districts within walking distance, and cultural facilities such as the city science museum and art museum are close, so it is excellent for living near work. However, because it is office-centered, nights and weekends are relatively quiet and housing is scarce. It is convenient for office workers who put commuting first in the middle of the city center.
