Students & working holidayCommute & transportSafe at night

Jimbocho is a student and legal town packed with one of the world's largest districts of secondhand bookstores and curry restaurants, where three subway lines (Hanzomon, Mita and Shinjuku) overlap, boasting overwhelming transport at 10 minutes to Shinjuku, 13 minutes to Shibuya and 14 minutes to Tokyo Station. However, as an office and commercial neighborhood its daily-life infrastructure such as supermarkets is thin, and it empties out on weekend nights, so it is a different kind of place from 'convenient but cozy neighborhood life'.

It is a cultural district of Chiyoda Ward where the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line and the Toei Mita and Shinjuku lines meet. Famous for the world's largest district of secondhand bookstores and its curry street, with universities and a legal town adjacent, it has many students and researchers. As an office and commercial center, there is not much housing stock and it becomes quiet on weekends. In the middle of the city, Akihabara and Ueno are close and moving anywhere is easy, so it suits those who want both a scholarly atmosphere and transport.
