Urban living aloneCommute & transport

One of Tokyo's largest transfer hubs, where lines of four railway companies meet, and a commercial district where trends begin. Transport that reaches anywhere without transfers is its greatest strength, and the area around the station is still undergoing large-scale redevelopment, changing its look year by year. But along with top-tier Tokyo rents, the station itself is tangled across many levels, so transfer routes are so complicated that it is called a 'dungeon station', which is worth keeping in mind.

It is a huge transfer hub where 10 lines come together, including JR, Tokyo Metro, Tokyu, Keio and Sagami Railway. Represented by the Scramble Crossing and redeveloped high-rise buildings, it is the center of youth and trends. On the other hand, constant crowds and the noise and congestion of a lively area late into the night are drawbacks for living here, and rents are also among the highest. In return, there are direct trains to Shinjuku, Roppongi and Yokohama, so you can get anywhere quickly.
