富加町 · Gifu
A quiet village served by an infrequent regional railway, where a car is practically essential. It has an old temple, and rents are very low.
A quiet village that has Tomika Station on the Nagaragawa Railway, but trains are infrequent, so a car is practically essential for everyday travel. It has Kiyomizudera, an old temple (said to have been founded by Sakanoue no Tamuramaro) with the same name and founding legend as Kiyomizudera in Kyoto, and it is known to history enthusiasts. By Nagoya commuter-zone standards it takes more than an hour to the city, and everyday infrastructure such as supermarkets and hospitals is on the scarce side. It is suitable for people who like historic sites and a quiet rural atmosphere and can get around by car.
